The Artist

Translating Light into Pigment

Based in Taos, New Mexico, I translate the intense high-altitude light and mineral palette of the high desert into modern abstract and landscape paintings. My work bridges architectural minimalism with raw pigment.

Origins

From Taos Light to Linen

The expansive spatial quiet of northern New Mexico informs every brushstroke. The transient high-desert light, moving across the mesa in minutes, is captured through layers of oil and cold wax, slowing its ephemeral dance on canvas.

Each piece begins with raw Belgian linen, meticulously stretched and prepared. I work with natural earth pigments, ensuring the mineral color palette of the landscape is authentically reflected in every painting.
